Dietrich Klinghardt, M.D., PhD describes the five levels of healing as: the Physical Body, Energy Body, Mental Body, Ancestral Issues and most importantly, the Spirit Body- your relationship to God.

1st The physical body is the structural and bio-chemical make up everything of the whole body. Problems at this level are the most common reason people seek help; something does not feel right or has happened to the body. Having a healthy physical body is the foundation of health in the physical world. See: obstacles

2nd This encompasses the energy body or “body electric”. It involves the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). When the ANS is in balanced regulation there is health. There are two parts of the ANS: one is Fight or Flight (Stress/Sympathetic), and the other is Rest, Relax, Digest and Heal (Parasympathetic). The ANS is not regulating properly in most people due to electrical interference which is not capable of being healed by looking only at the physical level.

3rd This is the mental level that includes beliefs, attitudes and thoughts. Every emotion is preceded by a perception and a thought or chain of thoughts which encompass the mental field. Thoughts trigger emotions and other energy body changes, which in turn trigger change in the physical body.

4th Ancestral Issues are expressed as unresolved trans-generational family issues. The story that you are living controls your life as long as it is unconscious. The strongholds seem to lose their grip when the family of the client is in a state where there is respect and love between all the family members of the system. A family system is comprised of the genetically linked persons of the last 3 generations and all of their respective partners. This is the level where one can choose to break the chain, forgive, and free themselves.

5th Your relationship to God is personal and not affected by any outside therapies. This level represents one’s own journey and cannot be incorporated in any form of therapy. If the work on the fifth level is not completed there may be a gradual relapse of the condition. It is at this level, that spontaneous wellness has occurred.
